Pleasure for the eyes and mind in the exhibitions
The main building of the Saarijärvi museum hosts changing exhibitions on art and cultural history throughout the year. Admission fees: adults / children (4-12 years) 5 € / 1.50 €, groups of more than 10 adults 3 €. Guided tours for groups by appointment (1 hour). Pre-booked guided tour 25 €. Group visits by arrangement.
The tour takes about an hour and is included in the regular entrance fee.
In the cafeteria there is a shop (publications of the museum, books of authors from Saarijärvi, village books, Saarijärvi annual art t-shirts etc.)
Permanent sculpture exhibition in the yard area – Sculpture Park. Herb Garden and a restored Meadow tended to by Luonnonystävät and Toivi Järvinen’s home art exhibition.
The summer museum venues are the Gentry Home Museum, Juhola and Stone Age Village. Guided tours in the Toivi Järvinen Art Home and the Herala Art Home are available by appointment. The exhibitions in the museum are presented in the event calendar and on the museum website.

· The main building of the Saarijärvi Museum is closed on Midsummer Eve and Midsummer Day 21–22 June. Open as usual on Sunday 23 June 2024.

· Closed on New Year’s Eve 31 December, open on New Year’s Day 1 January 2025.
